Join us for this 3 evening workshop to make a gorgeous, ultra functional leather backpack! The backpack includes an inside and outside pocket as well as a spot for your laptop! This leather working workshop is designed to teach classic hand sewing techniques. Chuck Allen, the skilled craftsman behind Earth and Hide, will guide you through the steps of working with leather including punching, hand sewing, riveting, snap setting, and caring for your finished item. Students will have use of leather working tools and will be guided through the process from hide to finished product. During registration you will be able to select your choice of leather color!

What is included:

  • tanned leather for your backpack, 3 color options

  • hardware in copper or brass

  • waxed thread

  • tools to use during the workshop
